This event will be the first of its kind and takes place ahead of next year’s London 2012 Olympic Games where we will see women’s boxing included in the program. Since this decision was taken, a considerable rise in the popularity of women’s boxing has been seen and this event will allow us to prove that such popularity extends from the grassroots level up to the very pinnacle of the sport.

The beautiful coastal town of Antalya will provide a great setting for showing off the skills of our young athletes to the world. The 1st edition of the AIBA Women’s Junior/Youth World Boxing Championships will be held from April 21 – May 1, 2011.
